Monitor

No Display:

1) Power supply section failed
2) EHT failed
3) Horizontal section failed
4) Display cable is not connected to the computer or not proper.
5) Buffer IC failed
6) Bright and contrast control must be turned low. If you increase the brightness and contrast control the display appears.
7) No heater voltage to the picture tube

Horizontal line on the screen:

1) Vertical section failed
2) Vertical coil failed (Yoke)

Vertical line on the Screen:

1) Horizontal coil failed (Yoke)

Picture is rolling horizontally:

1) Adjust H-hold preset
2) Replace buffer

Picture in the top is expanded and bottom contracted:

1) Adjust V-linearity

Picture in the left is expanded and right is contracted:

1) Adjust H-linearity coil

Picture is compressed horizontally:

1) Adjust H-size preset

Picture is contracted or expanded vertically:

1) Adjust V-size preset.

Brightness is not enough even if external brightness potentiometer is increased:

1) Adjust sub brightness preset.

Picture is tilted:

1) Adjust the yoke.

Curves at the corner:

1) Adjust the pincushion magnet on the yoke.

Three pictures horizontally on the screen:

1) Adjust H-hold preset.

Picture is waving:

1) Adjust the SMPS power supply or replace the filter capacitor in the power section.

Center dot on the screen:

1) H-Coil and V-Coil must be open.

Picture is disturbed horizontally frequency mis matched for example when we connect:

1) Adjust H-hold or display card and frequency and monitor CGA monitor to MDA card the display looses its synchronization and gets disturbed horizontally.

Raster is there but no Video:

1) Video amplifier failed

Circular Raster:

1) Yoke section might had come back. Adjust the yoke section
